Her?research?interests?include?a?wide?range?of?Artificial?Intelligence?and?Software?Engineering?methods?and?approaches?like:?agent?technologies,?data?mining,?machine?learning,?federated?learning,?programming?techniques?and?compiler?construction,?and?so?on.?In?the?last?15?years?her?research?interests?are?mostly?focused?on?different?approaches?of?Artificial?Intelligence?and?their?applications?in?several?domains?like?time-series?analysis,?in?medical?domains,?in?technology?enhanced?learning,?and?in?software?project?management.?
She?is/was?a?member?of?Program?Committees?of?more?than?350?international?conferences,?Program/General?Chair?of?more?than?20?international?conferences,?and?leader?and?participants?of?numerous?international?research?projects?on?contemporary?ICT?topics.?
Mirjana?Ivanovic?delivered?many?keynote?speeches?at?international?conferences?and?visited?many?academic?institutions?all?over?the?world?as?visiting?researcher?and?teacher?(Germany,?Bulgaria,?Czeck?Republic,?North?Macedonia,?Slovenia,?Poland,?Portugal,?Australia,?China,?Japan,?Korea,?Thailand).?
Currently?she?is?Editor-in-Chief?of?the?Computer?Science?and?Information?Systems?journal?with?impact?factor.
